Stay with us for a Tuscan Week. With accommodation and activities included, you will have the chance to fully immerse yourself in the local culture. Learn how to cook Italian specialities, sample wine and food from local producers, mix with local people and speak the language. Simply live as an Italian!
Do you want to learn, explore, and experience Tuscany? Bassetto Guesthouse offers several activities for you to enjoy. From learning how to make pasta like a real Italian or techniques from local artisans. 🚴♀️ 🐎 🛵
Cooking class
Learn how to make fresh pasta with an Italian chef, in beautiful surroundings. At the end of the class, sit down to enjoy your meal with a glass or two of locally produced wine.
Food & wine
You will be driven through the Tuscan countryside to a local winery where you will have a short tour of the vineyard and sample 4 or 5 of their wines along with a light snack.
TOURS & TRANSFERS
Be transferred to the nearby town of San Gimignano where you will have a few hours to explore the spectacular town, climb the tower and enjoy award winning gelato. We can also organise airport/city transfers and tours, off the beaten track, to medieval villages, local waterfalls, Volterra, Pisa, Lucca and the beach, subject to demand and availability.
Horse riding
Enjoy an hours gentle ride though the Tuscan hills with magnificent views of olive groves and vineyards
Ballooning
Ballooning rides can be arranged upon request. Please note that these must be booked at least 7 days in advance and are subject to weather conditions
Arts & Crafts
Enjoy an Italian lesson, pottery class, art workshop or jewellery making experience. Daily yoga is also available.
Sport & Education
We offer flexible accommodation to suit School or University groups, short or long term off-site campuses. Certaldo has a range of sporting facilities suitable for any sports groups interested in a training base, predominantly track & field, football, tennis, cycling or swimming. There is also an archery field!
Events Venue
Adjacent to the Guesthouse is our 19th Century wine cellar, which has been transformed into an events venue with capacity for 150 people. We can provide the perfect location for your corporate meetings, conventions, parties and special occasions. With space across 2 floors with terrace, gardens and parking, there is ample space for any event and the Guesthouse itself can provide overnight accommodation for your clients and/or guests.
